The idea behind MIPS, developed in Sweden, is to protect the human brain from rotational movements in the event of an accident. To achieve this, a second movable shell is mounted inside the uvex exxential II MIPS between the inner padding and the outer shell of the helmet. It sits directly on the head and can be adjusted to achieve the optimal height and width setting. Additional Protection: If the knight lands at an angle in a fall, the rotational force created is not transferred to the head, but instead dissipated by the movement of the MIPS inner shell. Furthermore, the helmet's ergonomic design with its low-cut shell ensures extra impact protection at the rear.
