The SPARK Riding Airbag Vest offers the rider optimal protection in case of a fall. The vest attaches to the saddle stirrup with a fastening strap and inflates instantly when horse and rider separate. It is equipped with a replaceable gas cartridge and protects the entire upper body, from the cervical vertebrae to the coccyx, thanks to the air released into the inner membrane when the cartridge is activated. It also protects the neck with sufficient shoulder height. Once inflated, the vest absorbs impacts, cushioning the rider when hitting the ground and keeping the head in position. The deployment time is 240 ms. Lightweight and breathable, it can be worn over other clothing at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 45 °C for guaranteed effectiveness.
The SPARK Riding Airbag Vest features an innovative design with a discreet internal zip pocket for storing the fastening strap and a zipper at the front. The fastening system is quick and simplified. In terms of comfort, it is lightweight, perfectly tailored around the arms, and made from ultra-elastic and flexible mesh fabric for total freedom of movement and better breathability. It is made from durable 600D polyester fabric, strong and wear-resistant.
The SPARK Riding Airbag vest is sold complete with a saddle attachment strap and a SPARK CO₂ cartridge. Make sure to use the cartridge suitable for the size of your vest:
33 g for children's sizes XXS and XS,
38 g for adult sizes S and M,
45 g for adult sizes L and XL.
Attention: this vest must be used only with a SPARK cartridge. The use of cartridges from another brand or not suitable for the size of the vest voids all warranties and liabilities of the manufacturer. The user assumes their own responsibility if they use cartridges from another brand or not suitable for the size of the vest.
In accordance with EU regulation EU 2016/425 and is certified by an expert assessment as compliant with the standard NF S72-800:2022.
The minimum height of the horse, H1, must be 120 cm. The child model activates for a minimum weight of 30 kg. Therefore, do not use it with children weighing less than 30 kg. For more information, you can consult the CRITT test report, the certification, or the evaluation report.
